This initiative coincides with the recognition of physicist John Hopfield and computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences for their groundbreaking work in machine learning and artificial neural networks. Meanwhile, Dr. Gisela P. Concepcion, UP’s Special Adviser on Research and Innovation, noted that the Nobel-winning discoveries exhibit AI’s potential to drive innovation across various fields.
