UP Research Institute releases multi-lingual 'social media flashcards' on COVID19

MANILA - The University of the Philippines-Research Institute on Wednesday released multi-lingual "social media flashcards" containing research, policy notes, and statements by its COVID-19 pandemic response team.

In a Facebook post, the UPRI posted flashcards available in Filipino, Aklanon, Bahasa Sug, Bikol Sentral, Cebuano, Chavacano de Zamboanga, Hiligaynon, Ilokano, Itawis, Kapampangan, Meranaw, Waray Samar and Waray Leyte languages."The UP Team is grateful for its committed group of volunteers composed of 37 translators and 10 graphic design and layout artists for their contributions in helping make information on COVID-19 more accessible to all Filipinos," UPRI said.

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic struck the Philippines, the university has been busy in providing information and equipment to help the country fight the fast-spreading virus. In April, the Food and Drug Administration approved a COVID-19 test kit developed by scientists from the UP-National Institutes of Health and the Philippine Genome Center with the support of the Department of Science and Technology.
