The number of jobless Filipinos continued to decline in June 2024, according to the latest data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The results of the Labor Force Survey (LFS) showed there were only 1.62 million unemployed Filipinos which is the second lowest since April 2005.

The results of the Labor Force Survey showed there were only 1.62 million unemployed Filipinos which is the second lowest since April 2005. The lowest number of jobless Pinoys was 1.6 million which was recorded in December 2023. Based on the data, this is composed of visibly underemployed and invisibly underemployed Filipinos. There were a total of 3.454 million who are visible underemployed and 2.629 million who are invisibly underemployed.
Meanwhile, the number of employed persons in June 2024 was recorded at 50.28 million. This was higher than the number of employed persons of 48.84 million in June 2023 and 48.87 million in May 2024.
