BACOLOD CITY — The Negros Electric and Power Corp. will begin its underground cabling project starting with the one-kilometer stretch from 5th-Lacson Streets to BS Aquino Drive-Lacson St. .The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held Wednesday morning at the Provincial Capitol grounds, attended by officials from the Negros Occidental provincial and Bacolod City governments.
Castro, meanwhile, is asking for more understanding from the consumers for the power interruptions that have been happening recently.'Please bear with us as we need time,' Castro said, as he explained that replacing dilapidated and old electric posts, transformers and other facilities cannot be done overnight especially in remote areas.In fact, he said, their linemen and other crews have been doing their job round the clock.
