Uncle vs MBPJ in court tomorrow
The elderly man who allegedly got “assaulted” by Petaling Jaya City Council enforcement officers will be charged in court this Friday.As reported by Harian Metro, Petaling Jaya police chief Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that the man would be charged under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing government officials from carrying out their duties.
The investigation paper was referred to the deputy public prosecutor and we have been informed that the man will be charged this Friday . Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, Petaling Jaya Police Chief Fakhrudin acknowledged that the man was indeed injured after accidentally being hit by a rod used to catch stray dogs.
Last week, a video of the said man protecting his stray dogs against the the MBPJ enforcement officers went viral on social media. The man was seen being hit by a rod when he tried to protect them from being captured. According to Fakhrudin, the elderly man tried to prevent the dogs from being caught by bringing them into his premises, which foiled the operation.
