The United Kingdom has included the Philippines in England’s ‘Red List’ to protect the country against new variants of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019), British Ambassador to the Philippine Daniel Pruce announced over the weekend.
Under the Red List guidelines, Filipinos who are eligible to enter the UK will be required to undergo self-isolation or quarantine in a government-approved hotel upon arrival “if you have departed from or transited through the Philippines in the preceding 10 days,” said Pruce.
“All of these decisions have been taken after careful assessment. These are temporary measures that will be kept under review and will only be maintained in place while the level of risk justifies them,” he said.
