University of the East (UE) put an end to its 5-game skid after stopping the University of Santo Tomas (UST), 86-73, in the UAAP Season 86 men's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, October 28.
Precious Momowei came at the forefront of the Red Warriors attack with 17 points and 18 rebounds on top of five assists and two blocks.
Abdul Sawat likewise rose to the occasion with 17 points, five assists, and four rebounds for the seventh-seed UE, which improved to 3-6 in the 8-team league.The cellar-dwelling Growling Tigers, meanwhile, dropped to 1-8 as they suffered back-to-back losses and entered a new losing run after stopping a 19-game skid last week.
