The Bureau of Customs said Wednesday it has facilitated the arrival and turnover of a donation of several essential goods and food products from the United Arab Emirates for the victims of southwest monsoon rains enhanced by Super Typhoon Carina .In a news release, the BOC said a cargo flight carrying assorted goods from the UAE meant to be distributed to those affected by the storm arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on July 30, 2024.
Also in attendance during the turnover was Special Envoy to the UAE for Trade and Investment Anna Kathryna Yu Pimentel.DSWD’s Gatchalian expressed gratitude on behalf of the Philippine government for the donation.The BOC said the donation included essential food products, which will be distributed to local government units and their constituents in the hardest-hit areas.
