A 62-year-old widow and a 46-year-old woman were shot dead in separate shooting incidents on Monday evening, March 13.
Quezon police report identified the victims as Angelina Limen, 46, and a resident of Sitio Sinegwelasan, Barangay Janagdong 2 in Sariaya town, and Elena Medalla, 62, widow and a resident of Sitio Tiwtiw, Barangay San Diego in Buenavista.Limen together with her husband, Wilfredo Estable, were sleeping in their house at Sitio Sinegwelasan Brgy. Janagdong 2 when they were awakened due to the barking of their dog outside.
Her husband, Estable, heard the gunshot and saw his wife lying down with a gunshot wound in the neck. Police recovered a fired cartridge case of caliber .45 in the crime scene. Follow-up investigation and pursuit operation are still ongoing for possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
