Education Secretary Leonor Briones and Interior Secretary Eduardo Año say they are now free of COVID-19.
Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año said Monday he tested negative for COVID-19.Briones said she will remain in isolation for another seven days while those who were in close contact with her are also under monitoring and following strict quarantine protocols.
"I will continue to work as hard as I can to contribute to the measures for the immediate containment of COVID-19 in the country," Briones said in a statement on Monday. Briones announced on April 9 that she had tested positive for the coronavirus. She was the second Cabinet member to get infected with COVID-19, after Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.
