MANILA, Philippines — Marina Tushova is unstoppable.

The Russian spiker fired 49 points to lift Capital1 past Nxled in a five-set affair, 20-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-19, 15-6, in the Premier Volleyball League 2024 Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig. Tushova topped her previous best and recorded a new PVL single-game scoring record and single-game attacking error with her 49-point outing on 46 attacks, two aces and one block.

'Marina Tushova has proven a lot, and I said it before I'd rather see her on our side than in a different team,' head coach Roger Gorayeb told the press after the gameTushova broke her previous record of 45 points against Choco Mucho last August 1. After being down by two sets, the Solar Spikers did not back down the fight and overpowered the Chameleons in the next two frames.
