LABOR and employer sector representatives in the banking industry were convened by the Department of Labor and Employment to revitalize the Banking Industry Tripartite Council. DoLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said the initiative was part of the department's intensified efforts to strengthen social dialogue and tripartite mechanisms at the national, regional and industry levels.

Sector representatives agreed to enhance council representation, hold regular meetings and industry conferences, and conduct internal consultations to bolster worker and employer engagement in the banking industry. The council also concurred to hold its next meeting in September.DoLE chief, who led the meeting in Intramuros last Aug.
