Transport group Pasang Masda president Obet Martin on Wednesday called on the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to provide more subsidies amid the continued increase in fuel prices.
“Ang isa pa naming kahilingan sa Kalihim kung magkakaroon kami ng pagpupulong yung fuel subsidy baka meron pang natitirang budget ang DOTr…hanggang December,” he said at a public briefing.Martin also questioned DOTr's extension of "Libreng Sakay" -- the government's free rides program -- but it has failed to provide additional assistance to jeepney drivers.
