THE HAGUE, Netherlands: A transgender woman has won the Miss Netherlands beauty pageant for the first time in the history of the competition, saying she wanted to be a 'voice and role model' for others. READ HERE:

The Miss Netherlands organizers said it was the 'first time in Dutch history that a trans woman has won this competition.'Kolle had 'radiated throughout the show' and had 'strong story with a clear mission,' they said on their website.Kolle herself said she wanted to use her win to bring about 'change in society.
