ContributedTRURO, N.S. — For their outstanding volunteer service, five staff members with theThe Platinum Jubilee medals are given out by the province of Nova Scotia to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign.
“There was a moment I was very appreciative and humbled by the fact that they would think to nominate me for such an award,” said Aundrea Currie, who is the finance manager for the Town of Truro. “It was wonderful. I know Bill through work here and of course personally, so for him to be the one to give the award was really nice.Edwina Renaux is a Purchasing Officer with the Town of Truro. She also acts as the regional co-ordinator of, a position she's held for two years. She has also been a swim coach for eight years.
