Toronto Public Library is bringing banned booksThe collection features 50 adult, teen and children’s books that were banned, challenged or censored in schools or libraries across North America.
Texts include works like “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank, “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou, “Gender Queer” by Maia Kobabe, the Authorized King James Bible and more. A, as well as the reasoning behind their bans, is available on TPL’s website.
