Given the advent of the downtown Marconi Campus, Cape Breton University’s growth and the influx of foreign students along with the recent announcement of a new medical school for the university, a new public library is more essential to the downtown core and surrounding communities, including Victoria County, than ever before.

Similarly, Project Design is a necessity for this important civic infrastructure and can be managed by CBRM’s management team; To move the new library project forward, identification of contractors through the tendering process and related costs are appropriate to CBRM’s engineering and finance personnel. CBRM hosts a number of qualified large building and/or site contractors competent in tendering and in executing large infrastructure projects.
