Sheena Toring absorbed a lot of defeats in her 11 years as a student-athlete with the National University — but her first loss in her professional career with the Creamline Cool Smashers was different.The 12th overall pick showed her impact with Creamline after contributing seven points in her game debut against Capital 1, and hit a double-digit mark over Akari with 10 points to propel the league’s perennial champions to a 2-0 victory in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League On Tour.
“I tried to contribute as a rookie. But there’s a lesson in that, and I hope in the next game I can contribute more,” she added.When Creamline was trailing behind Cignal in the third frame, Toring was very hopeful to force a fifth set.“It was almost in the third set. We got it from there, and we almost pushed for a fourth and fifth set. But Cignal really fought hard,” she added.
