THE Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has included Ernest John 'EJ' Obiena in the list of Filipino athletes competing in the coming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Hanoi.
THE Philippine Olympic Committee has included Ernest John 'EJ' Obiena in the list of Filipino athletes competing in the coming Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi.POC President Bambol Tolentino announced this development in an interview with Playitright TV on Wednesday night.'We included EJ, this morning, EJ and his team, including his Ukrainian coach Vitaly Petrov, to be part of the SEA Games in Vietnam.
The relationship between Obiena and the Patafa has gone sour last year when the federation accused its top pole vaulter of falsifying his liquidation reports and misappropriating public funds.Patafa national training director Renato Unso, however, said that Obiena can still make the list provided that he complies with the conditions set by Patafa in the ongoing mediation.The Patafa has until Saturday, March 12, to include Obiena in its official list of athletes going to the SEA Games.
