TNT got its hat-trick bid in the PBA 3x3 Season 3 Second Conference off to a fiery start as it swept its way to the Leg 3 quarterfinals yesterday at the Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces.
The Triple Giga, with Gryann Mendoza and Ping Exciminano shooting seven apiece, outdueled opening foe Cavitex, 20-17. Then riding on Almond Vosotros’ go-ahead two-ball and Mendoza’s nine-point sizzler, they nipped MCFASolver, 21-19, to top three-team Pool A.
In Pool C, Purefoods , Pioneer and Blackwater secured the three tickets to the Last-8 while Ginebra crashed out.
