The Tropang Giga stormed to an early 29-18 lead in the opening quarter, padded it to as high as 18 points, before holding off the Gin Kings' familiar fourth-quarter rally to take the head start in the championship series.
While Best Import candidate Rondae Hollis-Jefferson again had a stellar performance of 34 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, supplying the outside artillery was veteran gunner Roger Pogoy, who knocked down 5-of-10 from three-point zone to finish with 15 points in the game. Calvin Oftana and Rey Nambatac each scored 10 points for TNT, which played well without injured star Jayson Castro.
