Tiger Woods announces he will not compete in the Hero World Challenge golf tournament in the Bahamas due to recent back surgery. While hosting, Woods will not participate due to ongoing health concerns.

MIAMI, Florida — Tiger Woods has confirmed he will not compete in the upcoming Hero World Challenge tournament in the Bahamas due to a back surgery he underwent in September. The event is scheduled for Dec. 5-8 at the Albany Golf Course. Woods, a five-time winner of the event, will host but will not play, citing health concerns. Among the confirmed players are Justin Thomas , Nick Dunlap , and Jason Day.
