THUNDER BAY — Depending on which part of the city you live in, the impact of the snow squalls hitting the Thunder Bay area has ranged from pretty inconvenient to negligible. But some residents of the north end of the city may have wondered what all the fuss was about when they looked out their windows.
Snowfall accumulations were uneven, but were more than enough to get city crews to deploy sanders and other equipment overnight. He said crews began clearing main routes first, and started clearing main line sidewalks around 7 a.m. "The first storm of the season is always tough. You never know what to expect. But crews handled it well, and the roads were safe this morning."
