According to Aristides 'Jong' Merida Jr., president and CEO of Insights TM Corp. and chairman of Wealth Management Center for Communications and Research Inc., a lack of awareness and proper methods are key reasons why 99 percent of Filipinos fail to reach this goal.
Merida outlined three key steps to accumulate lasting wealth:Set Financial Goals: Successful financial planning requires setting clear goals. Merida stressed the need to transition from labor income to capital income . 'At some point, we cannot work, but expenses continue. We must accumulate enough to generate capital income,' he advised.Create Positive Cash Flow: Merida emphasized the importance of budgeting to maintain a positive cash flow.
