Israel launched an intense military campaign against Gaza's Hamas rulers after its militants staged a surprise October 7 assault that Israeli officials say killed 1,400 people. The rally outside a mosque near the Israeli embassy in Amman took place amid a heavy presence of Jordanian security forces, the correspondents said.
