There's a new OPPO smartphone in town, called the A60. It can survive a couple of drops, resists some splashes, and will be available soon this month.
OPPO smartphones have always been consistently impressive. Some of the most memorable OPPO phones we’ve reviewed was the R5. It was the OPPO smartphone we had a car run over. Twice. The result was impressive. The display and sound were intact, and functionality remained top notch. The only thing that cracked was the glass panel at the back of the phone. We can forgive OPPO for that since theirs was one of the first phones with a camera bump.
It’s worth noting, despite OPPO’s extensive exhibition on the A60’s sturdiness, it’s not completely shockproof and waterproof. It’s a device that’s targeted for people who are seriously on-the-go. This could range from content creators who move around a lot, or for ride-sharing drivers, like Angkas, Grab, and Foodpanda.
What I like about the A60’s tough shell, is that you can take this phone out with you caseless, letting you show off the A60’s very cool designs. The Midnight Purple is really something to gaze at, and the Ripple Blue is gorgeous. Often, we get all these great-looking phones, but they’re looks are diminished because of the cases we slap onto them.
The A60’s sturdiness is not the only thing that’s good about it. It has a pretty sweet specs sheet as well, involving a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680, 8GB of RAM, 128 or 256 gigs of internal storage, and a noteworthy 50MP camera at the rear, which is coupled with a 2MP one, just because. Screen size is 6.67 inches, 1604 x 720 resolution, 90 or 60 Hz of refresh rate, 5000mAh battery and OPPO’s famed SuperVOOC charge with 45W. Also, the A60 has a headphone jack. Long live the headphone jack.The camera is impressive. We’re not surprised by that. We’re not saying it rivals OPPO’s top phones like the Find and Reno series, but the A60 has a very satisfying camera performance, one capable of taking pictures and videos you would be proud to share.
