Sky News host Paul Murray says we’ve seen the “fastest increase of interest rates in generations” after the Reserve Bank raised the cash rate by 25 basis points to 2.6 per cent.
“Since Albo became the Prime Minister, it now costs an extra $834 if you want to pay off a $500,000 loan,” he said.He said those with a one-million-dollar loan had to find an extra $1,668 since the start of the year.
“Did anyone tell you that this would be the cost of a new prime minister? Because there it is in black and white,” Mr Murray said.
