There’s been a lot of talk about the Toyota Tamaraw’s revival in the Philippines as of late. But these aren’t just rumors, mind you—Toyota Motor Philippines already confirmed the new model’s arrival here.

The more specific question remains, however: When exactly will that launch be? Well, according to a source, that might be happening in October. That’s also the same month in which TMP is expected to begin retail sales.Report: All-new Suzuki Swift Sport coming this year, and we want it sold hereWhile we don’t have any idea yet on possible pricing, TMP has already shared a few details about the Tamaraw previously at Road Trek and recently through the official website.

There will also be two different powertrain options available. First is the 1TR-FE 2.0-liter gasoline engine that puts out 138hp at 5,600rpm and 183Nm of torque at 4,000rpm and is mated to a five-speed manual. The second is a 2GD-FTV 2.4-liter diesel engine that generates 148hp at 3,400rpm and 343Nm of torque between 1,400 to 2,800rpm and can be paired with a five-speed or six-speed manual gearbox.
