Shocking video shows tourists jump overboard from a sinking boat off the coast of Bali, which was carrying dozens of passengers from Nusa Penida to the port of Sanur near Denpasar on Tuesday.
A video uploaded to social media shows passengers wearing life jackets jump from the speedboat, which was transporting tourists from Nusa Penida to the port of Sanur near Denpasar.
Klunkung Police Chief Nengah Sadiarta said several people sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment, reported Voi Indonesia.“The incident regarding the fast boat started from the weather,” the passenger said. The incident has been widely circulated on social media prompting many Australians to share their own terrifying Bali boat travel stories.
"When we were sitting at the airport a few days later there was a news broadcast of two people who died in the same waters because of a capsized boat. There really needs to be better standards in Bali."
