“Obviously, the love that the Filipinos have in the game of basketball, I guess we didn’t know what’s the history behind why that is. Coming here gives me [a] better understanding of our country and the Philippines, I think it opens the eyes for the people,” Haliburton said in an interview posted by Team USA’s Facebook post.
