The Taytay garment manufacturers have started producing personal protective equipments (PPE) for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) frontliners.
In a report from ABS CBN News on Wednesday, April 8, the Taytay Rizal municipal government has commissioned the “Taytay Tiangge” garment manufacturers, whose livelihood have been put to halt amid COVDI-19 pandemic, to help alleviate the demand for PPEs.
The municipal government regulated the price of the PPEs at P350 for laboratory gown type and P500 for full body with hood each, in order to avoid the business profiteering from the sudden increase in demand. Gacula said that the shortage is an opportunity to help and not to earn.
