Federal police secretary Noorsiah Saaduddin urged the public to refrain from uploading or sharing content that could be deemed offensive to race, religion or royalty.

PETALING JAYA: The police task force formed to probe alleged insults against race, religion and royalty has opened seven investigation papers and arrested two suspects since its formation on March 22. Federal police secretary Noorsiah Saaduddin said the investigation papers were opened between March 27 and April 6.“The objective of the task force is to ensure investigations are conducted swiftly and the papers submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers within seven days,” she said in a statement today.The two people arrested were suspected of insulting royalty and race, with police currently identifying another suspect, Noorsiah said.

She said three cases had been referred to the AGC while the remaining four were still under investigation. Noorsiah urged the public to refrain from uploading or sharing content that could be deemed offensive to race, religion or royalty.
