KUALA LUMPUR: Seven investigation papers (IPs) involving issues pertaining to royalty, religion and race (3R) have been opened, says Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin.
The Police secretary said the cases were being investigated by a 3R task force led by Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan.
"The task force, through the CID's Special Investigation Unit , will investigate the cases promptly to ensure the cases are referred to the Attorney General's Chamber within seven days," she said in a statement Saturday ."Four cases are connected to royalty, two on insulting religion and one involving racial elements.
Of the seven IPs, three have been referred to the AGC while four others were still being investigated by the USJT, DCP Noorsiah said."Such action could lead to slander and hurting the feelings of others until it could cause chaos and trouble," she added.
