Taguig City’s weekly total of new COVID-19 cases down by 50%

The Taguig City government reported that from Feb. 4 to 10, a total of 1,558 new COVID-19 cases were recorded, down by 1,555 cases or 50 percent from 3,113 new cases from Jan. 28 to Feb. 3. The city recorded 2,662 new COVID-19 cases from Jan. 21 to 27.

Taguig City’s weekly tally of new coronavirus disease cases has decreased by 50 percent.

The city government said as of Feb. 11, 26 out of 100 beds, or 26 percent, at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital were occupied. Vergeire said shifting to the new normal will come if the number of COVID-19 cases continues to go down.
