The free mass swab testing operations in the City of Manila for public transportation drivers, public market vendors, and mall, restaurant, and hotel employees will be suspended starting December 23.
In a Facebook post, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said this will be done to give way for the celebration of upcoming holidays such as Christmas and New Year’s Day.
“Layunin po nating mabigyan ng kapanatagan ang mga mamimili at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng lahat ,” Domagoso said in his post. On December 18, the city government also suspended the operations of its drive-thru coronavirus disease-2019 serology testing facility at the Quirino Grandstand and the walk-in serology testing facilities at Ospital ng Tondo, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center.
