ABOUT 72 percent of Filipino businesses prefer applicants with skills in artificial intelligence, according to a survey in Jobstreet by SEEK's Hiring , Compensation & Benefits Report 2025. A total of 2,119 companies of various sizes and from different sectors nationwide participated in the survey.The report said 36 percent of companies view AI knowledge as highly important, considering it either a primary consideration or as important as other qualifications.
Other AI tasks consist of candidate screening, candidate assessment, interview process, background checks, and onboarding process.The companies use AI tools for efficiency and speed in the hiring process, the report said.On the other hand, businesses which do not use AI said it lacks human touch or personalization, and is not necessary for their work.Moreover, the report said that 78 percent of businesses granted 1 to 5 percent salary increases.
