All City and Provincial Police Office personnel in Central Visayas underwent surprise drug tests on January 2, 2025, as per orders from their headquarters. This measure is part of the PNP's internal cleansing program. The surprise drug test was conducted on the second day of the new year due to personnel returning from deployment during the holiday season. Any personnel found positive for illegal drugs will undergo investigation and may face dismissal from service.
