Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City was conquered on Saturday night, April 23, by a large crowd it might not have had when supporters of presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo converged for her campaign rally cum birthday party.

But the 1.5-km. stretch of Macapagal Blvd. from J.W. Diokno Blvd. to the corner of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue was filled with people, who were also celebrating Robredo’s 57th birthday. There was a convergence of color. Previously, supporters would wear pink, Robredo’s campaign color, at her rallies.
“Anuman ang kulay mo, welcome ka rito ,” read the sign at the venue entrance, which might also mean everybody’s welcome regardless of political alignment.
