Natural becoming the way to go !
Naturalized lawns could soon become commonplace in the City of Belleville.
Naturalization involved turning a cultivated landscape, such as a lawn, into a more natural landscape using native species of grasses, wildflowers or other plants.Several other municipalities including Quinte West and Prince Edward County have already made the move.The City’s Green Task Force Chair, Councillor Chris Malette says thev have had an increasing number of people asking about creating a naturalized lawn.
“Promotion of pollinators which, as we all know, is very important for the biodiversity of the planet.
