The Strength in Sisterhood gala funds will help with future programming and allow the centre to continue to provide clients with free basic needs items, resources, services, and education
The Sudbury Women's Centre Strength in Sisterhood Gala, celebrated on International Women's Day raised almost $50,000 for the centre. The funds will help the SWC with future programming, and allow them to continue to provide clients with free basic needs items, resources, services, and education.
"We were overwhelmed with the support from our community. The event was a tremendous success, and we can’t wait to do it again next year,” said SWC Executive Director Giulia Carpenter. “We had rave reviews from everyone who attended, and we raised critical funds that will assist in continuing to grow our centre for those in the community who need it most. On behalf of the Centre, I would like to thank everyone who attended the gala, and everyone who continues to support what we do.
