STUDENTS are leading the way to digital transformation at the Metro Manila leg of the Byte Forward Hackathon, a 24-hour innovation challenge designed to solve real-world business problems faced by enterprises today. The hackathon was held at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City from Aug. 7-8, 2025.

In collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Department of Trade and Industry, Converge hosted the hackathon as part of a broader initiative to bridge enterprises with next-gen thinkers.Ten teams from schools across the region will solve problems sourced directly from members of the PCCI and Converge Small and Medium Enterprise partners. This ensures the challenges are rooted in real operational needs and have tangible business value.

At the end of the event, teams must design, prototype, and prepare a live demonstration or simulation of their proposed solution to present to a panel of judges from the PCCI, Converge, and Rev21.Byte Forward Hackathon will culminate with a grand winner, chosen from the victors in NCR, North Luzon, South Luzon, and Visayas legs — who will take home prizes up to P500,000.
