ENGINEERING students of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) have developed a prototype machine that quickly separates honey from beeswax capping, which can boost the production of honey in the country.

Rowel Munar, Nartdi division chief for planning and development, assisted and served as the engineering students' external evaluator during the performance test of the prototype machine at Nartdi on May 28 and 31.'This time-saving machine can increase productivity and efficiency in honey production. It can also enhance the profitability of beekeeping operations with the help of the developed machines,' Munar said.
