When police responded to verify the report, they recovered from Lacson a hand grenade which was kept in his underwear while a suspected marijuana worth P120 and a tooter were also recovered from his pocket, Donasco said. Donasco said the students were immediately advised to vacate the classrooms as authorities checked the school for a possible threat as part of the standard operating procedure.
Donasco said they have no idea yet how the student was able to possess the explosive. This will be part of our investigation, she added. Charges for grave threat, illegal possession of explosive, and illegal possession of dangerous drugs will be filed against the student who is detained at the police station, according to Donasco.
