Gusts up to 90 km/h possible with showers or thunderstorms possible
Wind gusts of 70 to 90 km/h are possible with even stronger gusts possible during showers or thunderstorms. The winds are expected to begin this afternoon and end overnight.
“Strong southerly winds will develop ahead of a cold front Wednesday afternoon. Winds will ease Wednesday evening or overnight with the passage of the front,” the statement reads.The winds will be southerly at 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning, before they begin picking up speed around the noon hour. The UV index today is two, or low.
Tonight, expect more showers, ending overnight, then cloudy. A further 10 to 15 mm of rain is possible overnight as well. The winds will lighten around midnight. The overnight low is 8.
