"It is very clear to me in my vision for the way that the country will move forward that I cannot see the Philippines in the future without having the United States as a partner," said Marcos, who is in the US to attend the 77th United Nations General Assembly, where he will deliver a speech on Tuesday afternoon.
Marcos, who was invited to ring the closing bell at the NYSE on Monday, noted that American corporations were the early drivers of the Philippines’ early economy. Most of its most substantial corporate benefactors are from the US, which is strengthening the Philippine-US alliance and partnership.
