The rookie Thunder Bay North Stars forward scored twice on Saturday night to lead the Superior International Junior Hockey League club to an 8-1 road win over the Fort Frances Lakers to kick off the 2022-23 campaign.

Easton Glousher, Matthew Halushak, Dimitri Trahiotis, Julian Rutland and Dylan Winsor also scored for Thunder Bay. Kam River 2, Dryden 1: The Fighting Walleye picked up their second win in as many nights, Braeden Duchesne netting the winner at 16:19 of the second, breaking a 1-1 tie.
