The highly entertaining skills challenge and competitive RSJ game were appetizers for the main event of the 2023 PBA All-Star Weekend at the City of Passi Arena on Sunday, March 12.
Japeth Aguilar and Scottie Thompson will lead their respective teams not just in the All-Star game but also in the dance-off
Tipoff of the showdown which will cap the four-day festivities is at 5:45 p.m. with the must-see dance-off between the two teams happening before the game and the Shooting Stars event raising the curtain at 4:30 p.m. Team Japeth, which took a major blow to its roster following the injury to big man June Mar Fajardo, on the other hand, will be relying on familiarity with head coach Tim Cone leading the team along with his Ginebra stars Jamie Malonzo, Nards Pinto and Jeremiah Gray.
Guiao said he is expecting the game to be on the same intensity of the RSJ game when the usual free-flowing game saw a more competitive approach especially on the defensive end.
