Starbucks has unveiled its newest line of coffee featuring an unexpected ingredient — a spoonful of cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil.

The olive-oil spiked coffee will debut in Southern California in the spring, according to a release. Later this year, Oleato will make its appearance in Japan, the Middle East and the United KingdomStarbucks said the oil’s inclusion lends a unique, smooth quality to the coffee, introducing “extraordinary new flavour and texture.” The oil isn’t directly added to the drinks, but rather infused through steaming, shaking or blending.
Howard Schultz, Starbucks interim CEO, said the new line opens up “fresh new possibilities and a transformational way to enjoy our daily coffee.”
