Embattled casino operator Star Entertainment has been given a payment plan to pay the $100 million fine the Queensland government slapped on it late last year.

So far, Star has paid $30 million of its penalty, which was imposed in December after it was found to be unfit to hold its three casino licences in Queensland and NSW.It will have to pay another $30 million by June 30, and a final payment of $40 million by December 31, former attorney-general Shannon Fentiman told parliament on Friday.
