Stamps re-sign Henry long-term, keep Mitchell at trade deadline Stampeders CFL
Maybe a home-run offer from another team could have swayed them, but with Mitchell set to become a free agent at the end of the season it was never entirely clear why a rival would have dealt the Stamps a package for what might only have amounted to a month of football.
With Mitchell on the roster, the Stamps have a security blanket should something happen to Maier.
